    Our angle

    The advertised yield
is only part of the story.

Too many investors compare platforms on the headline rate alone. Our scoring covers 8 dimensions: financial strength, transparency, real guarantees, monitoring quality, regulatory status, age, liquidity and default history.

    Red flags

    4 red flags
    we never let slide.

    • 01

      No ECSP/AMF status disclosed

Outside the European framework since Nov. 2023.

    • 02

      Opaque or recent default rate

No figure, or under 18 months of history.

    • 03

      "Marketing" guarantees

      Vague, unquantified personal sureties.

    • 04

Net yield > 12% with no counterpart

Promises incompatible with the real risk.

    Testimonials

    They chose their platform
    with Crowdscope.

Retail investors share how our scoring helped them decide.

« I was torn between three real-estate platforms. The scoring tipped me toward ClubFunding — low default rate, mortgage-backed guarantees, real traceability. No regrets after 14 months. »

    Julien M.

    Manager, Lyon

    ClubFunding

« Finally a comparison without hidden affiliate links. I diversified on Enerfip for renewables and BienPrêter for SMEs, exactly as suggested by the detailed profiles. »

    Sophie L.

    Doctor, Nantes

    Enerfip

« The score breakdown (regulation, default, liquidity) saved me from two platforms I was about to try. Mintos remains my main pick thanks to the secondary market. »

    Karim B.

    Freelancer, Paris

    Mintos

« Very clear, very factual. No yield promises, just the numbers. I started on October with €500 and ramped up gradually. »

    Élodie R.

« I'd been following Latvian crowdlending for a while without knowing how to sort through it. The Swaper and Debitum profiles gave me the right comparison criteria. »

    Antoine D.

    Swaper

« A rare editorial approach in this sector. The methodology is spelled out, I can redo the math myself. That's what convinced me to trust them. »

    Frequently asked questions

    What is crowdlending?

Crowdlending, also called peer-to-peer or P2P lending, lets individual investors fund loans to consumers, businesses, real estate developers or energy projects through an online platform, in exchange for interest. Capital is at risk: borrowers can default and platforms can fail.

    What is Crowdscope?

Crowdscope is an independent observatory of European crowdlending platforms. Every platform is scored out of 100 from eight public criteria — track record, funded volume, registered investors, secondary market, guarantees, regulation, transparency and cash drag — and documented with a detailed profile covering yields, default rates and regulatory status.

Which are the best-rated European crowdlending platforms?

Crowdscope currently tracks 40 platforms. The highest Crowdscope score is held by BienPrêter (88/100), and the full ranking with filters by country, loan type, yield and ECSP status is published on the platforms page.

    Is crowdlending regulated in Europe?

Since 2021, EU platforms funding business and real estate loans must hold the European Crowdfunding Service Provider (ECSP) licence, supervised by their national regulator. Consumer-loan marketplaces, notably in the Baltics, fall outside ECSP and operate under national investment-brokerage or unregulated regimes — a difference Crowdscope reflects in the regulation score.

How much can you lose in crowdlending?

You can lose your entire invested capital. The main risks are borrower default, loan originator insolvency, platform failure, and illiquidity when no secondary market exists. Crowdscope publishes a default rate, a guarantees list and a secondary-market flag per platform so these risks can be compared before investing.
